CREATE YOUR DEBUT YA COVER
I got this idea from Amanda who go it from Melissa at Book Nut for the diversion!
1 – Go to “Fake Name Generator” or click http://www.fakenamegenerator.com/
The name that appears is your author name.
2 – Go to “Random Word Generator” or click http://www.websitestyle.com/parser/randomword.shtml
The word listed under “Random Verb” is your title.
3 – Go to “FlickrCC” or click http://flickrcc.bluemountains.net/index.php
Type your title into the search box. The first photo that contains a person is your cover.
4 – Use Photoshop, Picnik, or similar to put it all together. Be sure to crop and/or zoom in.
5 – Post it to your site along with this text.
My cover was kind of hard. I had to find a way to place the name so that it wouldn't be that hard to see. But I think it works rather well :)I got this idea from Amanda who go it from Melissa at Book Nut for the diversion!
I can't wait to see how everyone else's book covers come out!
Ooh, you're right, that IS hard for placement. You did good, though. I like the title and picture together.
ReplyDeleteThanks :)
ReplyDeleteI was secretly trying to cheat and find an easier verb/picture but in the end I stayed with my 1st one.
Oh, you got a much better author name than I did. I like the composition. The debut of 'Crumple' is posted here
ReplyDeleteThis is so beautiful of a picture, though. Really lovely, and the word "Return" -- like someone wishing on a star or something, hoping ...for someone to return.
ReplyDeleteIt could work!
I see it now! It's like the girl is wishing for whomever or whatever to return. Have you done one yet Tanita?
ReplyDeleteI did mine here: http://heyteenager.blogspot.com/2009/07/create-your-debut-ya-cover.html
ReplyDeleteMine are a bit stupid. Yours is great!
